Military and Naval Aviation 1914-1918
Oral History Recordings
Undated summary of many Oral History Recordings with refereces, ca. 1973.
From the preface:
The Department of Sound Records was set up at the beginning of 1972 and began its first oral history recording project in the summer of that year. This project involved interviewing and recording men who were associated with the early years of civil, military and naval aviation. Forty-three Interviews were recorded producing seventy-five hours of tape. Although the bulk of the material relates to the First World War, there is a significant amount of earlier and later material, so that the collection as a whole spans the years 1907 to 1920. All the Interviews were recorded in 1972 and 1973.
